Compassion Water of Life, a safe water system goes to the heart of one of the greatest and most urgent needs in developing countries today – providing safe drinking water to children and their families.
Every day over 4,000 children are dying of water-related diseases such as cholera and typhoid that are easily preventable. Many more are suffering sickness, diarrhea and acute stomach pains – illnesses that stop children going to school and growing up into healthy adults.
When you give to Compassion Water of Life, you are not only giving safe drinking water, you are protecting a child from life-threatening diseases and allowing that child to go to school, to dream and reach their full potential.
The Salvation Army Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Please visit our website, www.use.salvationarmy.org/use/www_use_pendel.nsf/, for more information about the difference we are making in York County!
The funds raised for the Salvation Army through last year's adventure race provided full schollarships for four kids to attend camp.
100% Pass Through
What does 100% Pass Through mean? It's one of the things that makes us somewhat unique in the mission field. We have always felt that God called us to serve others and help others serve by being good stewards and keeping costs low. That helps us pass through 100% of funds designated to ministry areas! That means if you give $100 to a missionary, that missionary receives $100 of support! If you give $100 of support to Home Helps $100 goes to the Home Helps Ministry. If you sponsor a family for $25 a month, guess what? $25 goes to support that family!
It's definitely not something you hear every day. However, this promise we make defines our organization and mission. We are here to serve others! We value your generosity and passion for serving other through your donation. So we even cover all credit cards fees and wire transfers to ensure they receive every penny.
This model is completely dependent on donors and supporters who help us cover all our operating expenses. We believe our work in York County, across the USA and around the world is vital to serving families at risk, so we ask all donors to prayerfully consider supporting our office needs as well. When you give to our "Second Gift" fund, you help us continue passing through all designated gifts to our missionaries and the people we serve. Because of your added generosity, we are able to pay everything from salaries, to office rent, to utilities without taking a percentage of your gift designated to missionaries, ministries, and families.
It’s a sad fact that every day people in our community go hungry. Hunger has spread in York County and we are now fighting hunger not only in our cities but in our suburbs and our rural areas as well. The face of hunger has changed and it’s now affecting your friends, your family, and your neighbors. We need you to join together with us to “Stick it to Hunger.”
The York County Food Bank is a central serving hub that collects food from a variety of sources and then equitably redistributes this food to our 125 plus agencies or organizations. These organizations include other 501 C-3 non-profit groups, shelters, churches, senior centers, schools and various community centers.
Thanks to the generosity of corporate, organization, individual donors, and government programs we currently provide over TWO MILLION pounds of food and household items annually! The food donations that we receive come from a variety of sources. A large portion of the food that we receive is generated from food drives or fundraisers that are conducted by individuals, organizations and corporations. We are also fortunate to receive donations from various food manufacturers, retails, wholesales and distributors. We often get donations from them due to surpluses in production, discontinuation, imperfect or underweight packing, quality control, approaching expiration dates & additional reasons. We also contract with York County to receive federal government food or funds to purchase food that are not often donated.

WHY I SHOULD SUPPORT THE YORKCOUNTY SPCA…
1. With your generous gift/support to YCSPCA your contribution will help improve the
lives of many of the lost, unwanted, neglected and abused animals residing at our shelter.
2. The YCSPCA is the sole non-profit agency within York Countythat investigates and shelters the victims of animal abuse and neglect.
3. By lending your support to the YCSPCA you will be helping our staff, veterinarians and dedicated band of volunteers provide the best possible care to the animals that find themselves with us.
4. Your kindness will help the YCSPCA insure the continuation of the many valuable programs that benefit the animals in our community.
5. By assisting the YCSPCA you make it possible for the organization to reach out to lower-income
residents in our community and provide free/low cost programs that benefit the welfare of the animals owned by our friends and neighbors.
The money raised for the SPCA through last year's A.I.M. Adventure Race provided funds to treat and care for 200 animals.
Transforming lives with Christ-centered education and opportunities
Christian School of York exists to assist Christian parents in fulfilling their responsibility of training of their children by providing a total educational program that is biblically sound, Christ-honoring, and of high standards.
We seek to produce students who recognize and practice the lordship of Christ in all of life and learning and who are thus equipped to function well in society and as member of the body of Christ.
The funds raised for CSY's Scholarship Fund last year funded partial scholarships for 6 students!
